Pause......Would you still need that next week?

So a friend called me this morning that he just lost his wife. I was short of words, didn't know what to say to him, how to counsel him. My friend's wife had a kidney problem and have undergone dialysis. My guy has spent all the money he saved up over the years, including selling his properties just to raise the N10,000,000 that was needed for a kidney transplant in Indian.

The last time, I saw the wife, she was smiling, though in pains, the husband told me she was looking better 2 days ago when I asked over chat. The money needed for transplant was not complete and they still spend on hospital bills. I could only imagine what the young couple was going through and this morning when he called to informed me of her passing, I was deeply sad.

Life!, they say is a journey...but seriously, how many of us really thought of what might happen the next minute. Lagos has a way of keeping one busy that you forget to celebrate with friends and love one. We spend most of our time pursuing shadows, some of us spend 60%, 20%, 15% of our time in the office, at home, in church respectively on "activities" while only 5% of our time is spent on creating beautiful memories.

Guess, I have to find a way to keep myself sane, healthy, create memories with loved ones, and still pursue making money. I am hitting the "pause button" this weekend.

Sigh!!!
